Coronavirus restrictions in Wales remain unchanged

Chief Minister Mark Drakeford urged people in Wales to get vaccinated and continue to take familiar measures to help address the rising problem of Covid-19, as the case rate earlier this week exceeded every 10 320 cases per 10,000 people.

In the most recent recording week, Wales sent nearly 10,000 alerts to users of the NHS Covid-19 app — the highest number since mid-July — an increase of 63% from the previous week.

Three weeks ago, when Wales dropped to a zero-level alert, all restrictions on meeting with others were lifted and all businesses, including nightclubs, reopened.

It is still necessary to wear masks in public transportation, sanitary and social care places, and shops.
