Court of Appeal reviews sentence for asphyxiating man of lover

The man who suffocated his lover to death during sexual intercourse may increase his sentence when his case is reviewed by the Court of Appeal.

The lawyer representing the attorney general’s office will argue that Sam Pybus’s four-year and eight-month sentence is “too lenient” and will ask three senior judges to reconsider on Friday.

Pybus is a 32-year-old married man who pleaded guilty to the murder of 33-year-old mother of two children Sophie Moss. He was sentenced to prison in September.
