FFootball coach Stephen Kunz Once complained about the lack of Bundesliga support after returning from the Tokyo Olympics. After arriving in Frankfurt, Kunz said that in the composition of his squad, he ultimately depends on how many clubs “want an excellent Olympic team” to participate in the competition.
Kunz can only bring 18 instead of 22 allowed players. In Japan, the hip team was eliminated after the preliminaries. There are “selfish reasons” for the cancellation, “partly from the players, part from the club,” Kunz said: “Then the time of the Olympics is not important to the club. This is how it all works.”
Shortly before leaving, Kuntz had to leave Niklas Dorsch and Ismail Jakobs and others, who had to cancel because of the club change. “You can only solve this problem by forced parking. But now it’s crazy to think of it,” Kunz said. Therefore, one of the lessons is: “You cannot and cannot participate in such a game without preparation.”
Hans-Joachim Watzke recently rejected criticism of the Bundesliga after the Olympics. For example, it is impossible for Dortmund Football Club to “hand over players without closing the entire store,” Dortmund’s general manager said, adding: “You can’t participate in EM first and then participate in the Olympics-then they should do whatever it takes. The club is the weakest link in the food chain.”
