Design and features
The Cyansky K3 flashlight is sturdy and may even be a dense flashlight.The whole body is black, there is a Hard anodizing, Anti-abrasive finish. It feels like it will last a long time. It is only 6 inches long, it is easy to hold in my hand, and the control device is easy to use with one hand. It has many ridges and hard corners, making it look more like an outdoor flashlight than a flashlight that surrounds the house. I like the look and feel of this flashlight.
Installation and setup
The manual is very small and the font is smaller. Although it has seven pages of information about the flashlight itself and how to operate it, there is zero information about how to set up or maintain the flashlight. The manual feels unfinished. This is an obvious omission that Cyansky should fix as soon as possible. The good news is that these things can be solved with some trial and error.
The first thing I did was unscrew the head and tail of the Cyansky K3 flashlight, and then took out the battery. As I suspected, there was a small piece of plastic on one end of the battery-it was designed to prevent discharge during transportation-I removed it.
The second thing I did was plug the USB-A end of the included cable into my Nucleus wake And insert the USB-C end into the battery. It feels really weird to plug the cable directly into the battery, but it seems to charge well. There is a very small LED on the top. When I plugged it in for the first time, it was red; after charging was completed, it turned green. I put everything back in place.
The third thing I did was to remove the belt clip because I didn’t want to use it. It is so tight that I have to remove it with a screwdriver. Then I put on the wristband. The hole in the base is very small, so it looks like a needle. However, once protected, it will not go anywhere.

Cyansky’s website and manual say that the light on the K3 is Luminus’ SFT-40-W LED. Unfortunately, I cannot find this LED anywhere; Luminus does not seem to produce this product.But there are similar names SST-40-W, So maybe it’s just a typo? If so, this is the “high-brightness cold white LED.” A dealer described it As the “maximum output…no need to consider the overall efficiency or heat” LED.
No matter what the LED in this Cyansky K3 flashlight is, I can say with certainty: it is very bright! I live in a little more than half an acre, and it can easily light up any place in my yard. I think its effective range is between 200 and 300 yards. This is exactly what I needed when I lived in this community. If you buy this flashlight, please do not shine it in your eyes.

Unlike Predator’s crazy mix of double-click, three- and four-click controls, K3’s controls are very simple. The tail switch turns it on and off, while the side switch rotates the LED between low, medium, high, and turbine.
Cyansky K3 flashlight tail switch can also be pressed halfway to turn on the light, release it to turn off the light. This is useful when I want to quickly turn on and then turn off the light again. If you press and hold the side switch for one second, the LED will enter a strobe mode. I can’t see that I need this, but I think it might be useful if I need to signal other people. Maybe we are looking for a lost dog in the woods, and the flashlight tells others that I found it. In any case, I like this simple design of turning on and setting the brightness. It’s not complicated, it saves me thinking about flashlights, and allows me to focus on trying to see whatever I’m looking for.
The Cyansky K3 flashlight consists of a 21700 rechargeable lithium ion batteryThese are considered compact batteries with good overall energy capacity. According to the manual:
- Turbo is 1600 lumens and can run for 2 hours.
- It is 800 lumens high and can run for 3 hours.
- Medium brightness is 200 lumens and can run for 12 hours.
- Low is 30 lumens and runs for 1000 hours.
Low is enough for my house. Maybe I get up at night and want to make sure that I have locked all my doors, and I need a little light that won’t wake up the whole family. Medium is suitable for normal outdoor activities; maybe I need to get something from my shed after dark. High and turbo are reserved for unknown situations. In this case, I do need a lot of extra light, and I don’t worry about how long my battery will last. I encountered this situation recently. When we were not in the city that day, our neighbors called and said they had seen a big black snake near our front porch. When we got home, just after sunset, I took out my K3, set it to turbo, and searched around my porch and yard and around the deck and shed to see if I could find him. Thankfully, I don’t have one.
I ran a test to check the battery life on the K3. When using turbocharging, I found that it ran at full speed for more than two hours; after that it started to weaken, but it still ran for more than three hours. Cyansky’s specifications are conservative, which is much better than being overly optimistic.

After completing the test in the video, I took the K3 inside, washed it in the sink, and then air dried. Later I opened it and found no signs of water or dust inside. At this point I am optimistic that Cyansky’s flashlight will last longer than IMALENT’s flashlight.
Extra features
K3 is a tactical flashlight, which means that it is not only durable, but also has a set of serrated structures on the bezel, and each serrated structure is embedded with a small round zircon. This is intended to be used in close combat situations, perhaps when I need to fight an intruder, or in an emergency situation where I need to break a car window. (Hope I never need to do this.)
The Cyansky K3 flashlight comes with a simple nylon belt holster. If I am hiking or biking and want the flashlight to be easy to use, then this might be convenient.
The last additional feature is a set of notches on the side of the head of the K3. I put this flashlight on the bedside table next to the bed to prevent it from rolling off the edge. I appreciate these little details.
