review – With so many people working from home, the struggle to find the perfect home office is real. During the pandemic, my own family built (and gave up!) office/school facilities in our home. As working from home (and school) becomes an inevitable part of our foreseeable future, people are looking for comfortable, ergonomic and highly flexible ways to work, learn and play. The Devaise standing desk is a great option.

set up
It took my husband about an hour to assemble standing desk. He really needed very little help from me in attaching the tabletop to the legs as I stayed at shouting distance; however, you definitely need two people for that part of the setup.
The hardware comes in a convenient pouch, carefully labelled to match the instructions. It also includes three different sized hex keys so we don’t need to use any of our own tools. The instructions are easy to understand and intuitive, although some illustrations may be larger and more detailed.
Once it was fully assembled, we stepped back and were impressed by the attractiveness of this table. This is our third new Covid-era desk (not to mention the various card tables and repurposed furniture), and it’s by far the best looking desk we’ve had.
Performance
If you have multiple monitors, the Devaise standing desk is the perfect size.
We’ve been looking for desks like this for over a year. It’s hard to find a powered, adjustable desk that’s big enough to fit multiple monitors without breaking the bank. This model ticks all our boxes.
To raise and lower the desk, you can press and hold the up and down arrow keys on the desk. Alternatively, you can set the memory button to your liking by pressing and holding M1, M2, M3 or M4 until it beeps, just like you would set a car radio.
We actually only used two presets, one for sitting and one for standing, but if you have more than one person using the table, the extra two buttons can be handy.
The transition from sitting to standing only takes about 18 seconds.
It provides a convenient grommet for your power cord.
Our only criticism, however, is that it’s awkward to install all the equipment wires, considering you need room for them to reach standing (and sitting) height at all times. An easy fix is to install an outlet on the bottom of the Devaise standing desk, since it already powers the motor, as well as the extra cable clip.
My husband concluded that this is by far his favorite home office setup (and his sixth in two years). This adjustable desk is the right size and ergonomic so his back and wrists don’t hurt at the end of the workday, and he appreciates being able to switch to a standing/sitting position with the push of a button.
