“Dissent is the highest form of patriotism.”
This is a phrase attributed to Thomas Jefferson, but there is no real evidence that he ever said or wrote this popular phrase often used by leftists-when they felt the need to prove their absurd behavior to anyone responsible The “R” next to their name is just right.
This sentence (maybe actually Born in the 60s) I never really agreed. I don’t think dissent is a high degree of patriotism, but it is a key element of a free society. The highest form of patriotism still serves your country, and may even die for your country. Any leftist who uses this term will unconsciously make me feel that their supply of themselves is a bit high. They are not so noble.
Interestingly, even the bloodiest protest, this cliché seems to change from virtue to sin in the blink of an eye…when the Democratic Party is in power. Now, all the objections they had just cheered up were bordering on treason.
This is not the case, they know it, but if they can’t lock you up and shoot because you are against them, they can try to shut you up-and your biggest objection platform is your social media account , The Democratic Party knows where to beat you.
The idea is that if you spread misinformation on one platform, then that platform should ban you, and then all other social media platforms should ban you. Of course, what counts as misinformation depends on the whim of the Democrats.
Two days ago, Jacob Salem wrote An article in the New York Post summarized the evil actions of the Biden administration trying to suppress critics:
This type of proxy review is particularly disturbing because the “misinformation” that offends Biden and Murty is not limited to verifiable false statements about the COVID-19 vaccine, such as claims that they cause infertility or alter human DNA. It also includes accurate but “misleading” information, which may mean that they prevent vaccination by emphasizing small risks, and point out that the vaccine is not fully effective or question the methods of vaccine research.
The “misinformation” targeted by the Biden administration is not limited to comments about vaccines. Murthy also worries about messages that may encourage people to “refuse public health measures such as wearing masks and keeping physical distance,” which even includes good faith doubts about the effectiveness of these protective measures.
This actually means that there will be no doubt at all. Expressing questions can lead to problems, and these questions can lead to answers that inconvenience the given narrative.
Don’t object. So there is so much patriotism.
If we really want to treat dissent as patriotism, then we need to exist in a country where freedom of speech is a well-known value from the streets near you to the halls of Washington. The idea of opposing power should be cherished because it will make those who oppose it hate it.
This is not what the Democratic Party currently wants. They want you to be censored, whether you are a crazy conspiracy theorist or just a person asking basic questions that are too close to revealing the reality they would rather people not see.
For the strong, nothing is more inconvenient than dissent. Those who do their best to prevent dissent from happening are the real patriots. In this country, freedom of speech is actually the first God-given right on the list of God-given rights. Patriotism will hate the objections that are thrown out, but thank people for doing this.
