As we reported earlier, When Peter Dusey of Fox dared to question the Americans who were still “stretched” in Afghanistan, the White House press secretary Jen Psaki collapsed.
PSAKI: “I think it is irresponsible to say that Americans are trapped. They are not.”
DOOCY: “‘No Americans are trapped’ is the White House’s official position on the current situation in Afghanistan?” pic.twitter.com/0FEq5VkO6V

Dussie: “Does the president think that most of the criticism is not about leaving Afghanistan? This is how he ordered the withdrawal of the troops before letting these Americans who are now trapped. Does he feel that way?”
Psaki: “First of all, I think it is irresponsible to say that Americans are trapped. They are not. We are committed to bringing home Americans who want to go home. We call, text, email, and whatever we can reach The American way to keep in touch with them if they want to go home.”
Doocy: “‘No Americans are trapped’ is the White House’s official position on what is currently happening in Afghanistan?”
Psaki: “I just call on you to say that we will keep the Americans in Afghanistan, and we already know very well that we will not leave the Americans who want to go home. We want to take them home. I think this is a good listener for the American public. Understanding is very important.”
However, this is just a naked lie. We have seen countless reports of Americans unable to reach the airport. The Biden team does not even seem to know how many Americans they need to rescue, and there have been reports that they do not even have a plan to send people outside of Kabul to the airport. Therefore, unless they propose a plan to bring all these thousands of people out of the city since then, it is actually a very fair question to keep asking: What will happen to these people?
Needless to say, people cannot believe that Psaki said this and behaved like an aggrieved party, because Doocy used the word. She was even more unhappy with Doocy’s use of the word, and seemed to hide behind the enemy than the Americans.
Senator Bill Hagerty (R-TN), Senator Tom Cotton (R-AR) and Senator Martha Blackburn (R-TN) Let her own.
This is a bold lie!
My office just received the news that Tennessees were trapped in Afghanistan. https://t.co/naM8g4OMRP

This is not true.
This is a slap in the face to the thousands of Americans who are currently stranded. https://t.co/ngiGfddDqs
— Tom Cotton (@SenTomCotton) August 23, 2021
Many Americans are trapped behind the terrorists, unable to reach the Kabul airport.
I would call it stranded, @PressSec.https://t.co/bDBBYtyl8G
-Senator Marsha Blackburn (@MarshaBlackburn) August 23, 2021
Blackburn and Cotton have been actively working to help stranded Americans.
Matthew Downer, Cotton’s senior consultant:
An American woman was trapped alone in Kabul.
When she tried to go to the airport, the Taliban beat her for traveling without a male.
She heard no news from the State Department—only news from a freelance volunteer outside the world.

Fox Describes the situation of an American woman Who is trapped and cannot get out.
“I have really given up hope and hope of going to the airport,” the woman whose identity was concealed for fear of her safety told Fox News. “It’s just impossible to pass all these people.”
She said there are as many as 20 Taliban checkpoints between her and the airport-she is one of an uncertain number of American citizens trapped behind enemy lines.
She said she was whipped by Taliban fighters while trying to pass. A man standing next to her was shot in the head in another attempt, causing his wife and baby to cry. Since then, she has been hiding.
Fox asked the White House to respond to their story about this woman. The White House stranded them without any response.
When even CNN has to call you out, you know that lies are bad.
CNN’s Jake Tapper fact-checked what Psaki said that Americans “are not” trapped in Afghanistan.
