Review – It’s weird to review a small portable power station immediately after testing a huge generator – Generark HomePower 2 power stationBut if you really want to be able to withstand the storm (pun intended), then smaller generators can be just as useful as their larger and more powerful counterparts. Sometimes you just need something that you can easily take from one room to another to power smart devices or other gadgets that consume less power.

It is on this stage with reasonable prices that competition is fierce. You have a “big boy”: Jackie, Bruti, with Ecological flow as an example. But there are also many smaller brands that have introduced interesting and unique products on these types of products. Flashfish falls into this category. They may not be so famous, but they must have created something interesting with the A301 portable power station.

What is it?

Flashfish (who named this company?) A301 portable power station is a powerful, lightweight and affordable generator that is easy to use and carry. There are many ports. The front panel has a 100-watt USB-C, two USB A, a fast charging USB A and two 12V DC output ports. There are two AC (wall plug) sockets on the side-one is normal and the other is grounded.

The back panel is the interesting part. The middle of the rear panel fits a 4-inch LED “flashlight”. This lamp has low and medium brightness settings, but the high mode is almost dazzlingly bright. It can easily illuminate the bedroom. Depending on how you press a single illuminated button, the light will flash an SOS signal or flash quickly. Long press the button and a real flashlight in the center of the LED circle will light up. If you are trapped or lost after a car accident and need to be positioned, I can use the bright SOS mode to shoot.

The top panel is equipped with a 10-watt wireless charger. Just put your smartphone on the mat, and if your device supports wireless charging, it will automatically charge.

Design and features

The Flashfish A301 portable power station may not be the best-looking power station on the market, but it can get the job done-and it does a good job. The dark gray and orange color scheme makes people scream “Jackery”, although the design is all Flashfish. The outside is covered with tough plastic, which looks like it can be roughed effortlessly. Just don’t let water or dust get into the ports-they are not protected.

The front port is strange but interesting. If you plug anything into the USB A port, A301 will automatically turn on (Why don’t all power stations do this?). However, if you plug in the USB-C cable or any 12V DC adapter, nothing happens. You have to press the power button. You must also press the front AC button Rear Press the front panel on/off button to use the side panel socket.

Another unusual thing is that when charging your A301, you can not Use AC or QC USB A port. However, you can use other USB A, USB-C, and DC ports.

The front panel of Flashfish A301 portable power station has a built-in monochromatic LED panel. Although some of the information text is small, the information sparkles against a black background, making it easy to read. The screen will display the percentage of remaining battery life, the wireless icon, whether the A301 is consuming or outputting power, and the port being used at any time.

The A301 is rated at 292 watt-hours (Wh), which means it will run a 300-watt device for one hour. It can power up to 320 watts of equipment without shutting down. This is roughly equivalent to charging a smartphone 28 times, a laptop 3 times, an iPad 8 times, or a 30-watt mini fan for 9 hours. Therefore, you can see that Flashfish is very useful during power outages.

Charging the Flashfish A301 portable power station is easy. To reduce weight, a power brick is attached to the power cord-but most other battery generators also have them.

It is easy to carry the Flashfish A301 portable power station indoors and outdoors. Its small size, light weight, easy to carry, convenient for self-driving travel or weekend camping. It is even perfect for backyard adventures or any place around the house that is not within the range of outlets. You can stay in touch with the world for only $260.

One thing worth noting is that the solar panels made by Flashfish can charge the A301. Flashfish did not provide solar panels for this review, so I can’t say how effective it is. However, like all solar panels, they require constant, bright sunlight to be truly effective-which excludes many parts of the country.

what do I like

  • light
  • Economical
  • Wireless charging
  • Easy-to-understand LED display

What will i change

  • Some ports cannot be used while the device is charging

Final thoughts

Generators do not have to be large in size, power (especially cost) to be effective. sometimes. You just need enough power to charge something, nothing more. This is why small generators are becoming more and more popular. They are useful, cheap (in themselves), and can keep us connected for hours after a power outage. And power always Go out occasionally. Generators like Flashfish A301 perfectly meet this need.
