According to the police, the accident occurred at 8.35 am in the Elsey district of Hagen, which belongs to the Hohenlimburg district. It involves a long-distance bus, a public bus, a truck and a few parked cars. A rescue helicopter landed in the temporarily closed parking lot of the supermarket and took the injured to the hospital. Many rescuers are on the scene.
Bochum asked an accident record team to reinforce this situation. Several streets around the Esserstraße accident site have been closed for several hours. The police recommended driving extensively in the area. The exact course of the accident was initially unclear.
According to preliminary investigations, a bus driver allegedly deviated from the lane for reasons that have not yet been clarified. According to WDR reports, he collided with a parked car and damaged three other cars.
