article – Because I work from home (WFH), I don’t need to go out as often. The photo above shows my non-traditional WFH setup in my den/office. Space is limited as my husband also works from home. So, when space is a valuable commodity, go vertical! This is exactly what I did. Weird, eh? But since I only work part time, this setup works for me!

On the top shelf in front of my TCL Roku Series 6 TV and Visio soundbar is my personal Lenovo Yoga 730 13-inch 2-in-1. I’ve had it for several years and I still love using it.

Next to my personal laptop is mine Logitech M585 Mouse (Mouse on the right in the image above). I love that I can use this mouse with two different devices, and I can program or change any button and wheel settings using the Logitech Options software. You can also use this mouse to navigate between two computers, but since I can’t install any software on my work computer, I can’t use this feature :(.
I also use a portable low profile mouse — Satechi M1 Wireless Mouse The one I reviewed in 2019 (left mouse button in the image above). This mouse is handy when I’m out and about, but I’ve noticed lately that it needs to be charged a lot.
When I need to travel with my laptop, I take my Satechi mouse and…

…my one tomtoc 360° laptop cover. I love these sleeves – they are well padded to protect my laptop and they have an extra pocket to carry my accessories like…

…mine SanDisk 32GB Ultra Dual Drive Go USB Type-C Flash Drive (It’s really handy to have USB-C and USB-A connectors) and…

…my favorite travel charger, Anker Nano II 65W GaN II PPS Fast Charger, I reviewed it in Fall 2021. I like that it’s small and it’s a USB-C charger so I can use it to quickly charge my laptop and…

… my awesome Pixel 6 Pro. I pretty much use this phone for shopping, reading, listening to podcasts, watching my streaming services, taking pictures, making regular calls, and more. This is my go-to powerhouse.

On the second shelf of my setup, I have my Dell work laptop.Next to that laptop is mine KYY K3 15.6-inch USB-C Portable Monitor I reviewed in 2021. Since I have limited vertical space on the second shelf, I can only fit one portable monitor here. Of course, it’s nice to be able to grab it and go when I need it. It works well and is reasonably priced.
Because our office is also a media room, we have a Sony Blu-ray player and an Xbox One on the second shelf.
On the third shelf, I have another work laptop. Also on this shelf is one of my Google Nest Hubs (the original Google Nest Hub), which I absolutely love to use to control IoT devices in my home, check the time and weather, view my Google Photos, and more. It’s my desk’s virtual photo frame assistant and speaker in one!

I also have a phone holder on the third shelf, and ours Xerox Duplex Combination Scanner. This scanner is handy when you want to quickly scan large double-sided documents that my husband who is an engineer seems to have a lot of.
Where do I sit at work?Usually, I sit on the floor or use my JINGXIN Cotton Linen Floor Cushion Round Futon Stool It’s comfortable enough for me and small enough that it can be neatly stored under a third shelf when I’m not using it.
In addition to all the above, we have a Aurora AU1020MA cross-cut shredder (It can also cut CDs and credit cards) and a small bookcase to store our work binders and engineering drawings.

Last but not least, at the top of the bookcase is mine UE Megaboom 3 Bluetooth Speaker I use it to play music regularly. It’s portable and has great bass.
We’ll see how long this setup works for me, but so far, great!
