In my opinion, this is a good ruling. No governor should have the power to close private schools, especially when the closure of these schools appears arbitrary compared to other incidents that are still allowed to occur. The purpose of private schools is to take control of education away from the government. It is completely inappropriate for the same government to intervene in any way and close these schools.
In addition, the fight against private schools during the pandemic has always looked fierce. Whether it happened in California, New York or Maryland, these Democratic politicians hope to create common suffering and help promote their progressive policies along the way. Given the nature of their opposition to private schools, it is easy to insist on these entities.
Nevertheless, even with this victory, the battle for public schools continues.
