In announcing an independent investigation into the allegations of the powerful Democrat, New York State’s Attorney General Leticia James said on Tuesday that New York Governor Andrew Cuomo “conducted sexual harassment of multiple women, including employees. “.

James said at a press conference: “The independent investigation concluded that Governor Andrew Cuomo sexually harassed multiple women and violated federal and state laws.”

She said the investigation found that Cuomo had “created a hostile work environment for women through unwelcome and unauthorized touch, and made a large number of suggestive comments, and sexually harassed current and former New York State employees.”

She said the investigation also found that Cuomo and his senior team took retaliatory actions against at least one former employee who brought up her story.

James said that the evidence found during the investigation will be announced along with the report.

At least eight women-former or current aides-came forward and condemned Cuomo’s inappropriate words and gestures, who was praised across the country for handling New York’s Covid-19 crisis in the early stages of the pandemic.

A former employee said that he reached under her shirt last year.

Cuomo denied participating in sexual harassment, and rejected even calls for resignation from Democrats in New York and Congressional Democrats.

In March of this year, President Joe Biden stated that if the allegations against Cuomo are confirmed, he should resign.
