Travellers quarantined at Heathrow Hotel report rats in the room

“I just saw a mouse behind the refrigerator. Then when I jumped it quickly came back behind it.

“They moved me to another room, just down the corridor. Then it happened last night. They came from a hole in the wall where the pipe was.

“When I left the room, all my things were in the hallway… the other person across from me opened the door and said,’Are there mice in your room too? Because I have one too.

“The room I am in is the third time I have moved.”

He added: “I feel disgusted, shocked, stressed and anxious. Think about my table with apples and fruit. Maybe I will eat it the next morning, and there may be mice crawling on it.

“Every night when I fall asleep, when the lights are off and it is quiet, they will come out. I also ate a bitten biscuit.”

He had to pay for the accommodation for 12 months in installments of £140 per month, but added: “If you live in a Ritz hotel, Travelodge, no matter where you are, if there are rats in your room, you won’t Willing to pay any price because it poses a huge threat to health and safety. It brought me tremendous stress and anxiety. I didn’t sleep at all.”
