Review – Without a protective cover, I cannot use the phone. I have dropped my phone many times, and since the early days of the smartphone revolution, I have used a protective case because I don’t want expensive repairs that could have been avoided. As mobile phones become larger and larger, this problem has also been magnified. Grip2ü has a series of protective cases suitable for various iPhone models, and today I am reviewing their iPhone 13 Pro Max silicone protective cases.

Design and features
The Grip2ü iPhone 13 Pro Max silicone case is available in black and navy blue. I chose the navy blue option. The inside of the case is made of soft felt material, and the outside is rubber silicone, which is very suitable to ensure that the phone will not slip out of your hand.
A major feature of this phone case is that there is an elastic material band on the back, designed to help you hold the phone more safely, a bit like a flat Pop Socket. I never liked Pop Sockets because they protrude too much from the back of the phone, but this strap is very low-key and doesn’t get in the way at all.
The volume and power buttons have raised bumps, and the mute switch, Lightning port, and speakers also have cutouts. The cutout leaves enough room for the charging cable, mute switch, and sound from the speakers. I have used other situations where the opening is not big enough for the cable I use and it is always painful to handle.
Installation and setup
All you have to do is to slide one end of the phone into the phone case, and then press all four sides to make sure it is properly seated. The phone is easy to insert, but it is very strong. It is also easy to remove when you want to clean the phone or case material or place it on a tripod to take pictures. This is a welcome thing for me. Once I had a different case, it fits so well that I wondered if I would split it in half every time I needed to take off the phone.
is using
In daily use, I know it’s great to have a protective cover on my phone that doesn’t keep slipping out of my hands. My hands are always dry and sometimes I can’t hold things well, so I always need some kind of grip texture on my phone case. I am glad to know that even if I do drop the phone, this phone case can protect my phone when it falls on the floor.
On the back of the protective case, the raised camera protrusion and the elastic band are at the same level, so the phone can be placed flat on the desk. This is ideal because it not only keeps the phone level, but also protects the glass on the camera lens because they are not placed directly on the surface. I think if you drop the phone heavy enough, the silicone material may compress and the lens may touch the table or floor surface, but it does provide some extra protection in this case.
Although I like a case that I know will not easily slip off my dry, non-grip hands, this case is very grippy in my pocket. Putting in and taking out the pocket requires more effort, and I even pull out a little bit every time I take out the bag material. It’s no big deal, I’m used to it; I think it’s a good security trade-off, because I know that my phone won’t slip out of my hand, even if it slips, it’s safe.
The silicone texture also seems to attract a lot of lint. I often have to blow it off the screen or try to wipe it off the casing. It has always existed on other phones and cases, but it seems more compelling in this case.
Grip2ü said that this phone case is compatible with wireless charging. I have several wireless charging docks and a battery pack with a built-in wireless charger. I can only get one of them to work reliably in this situation, although this may be because the iPhone 13 Pro Max is larger than my previous phone and it is not properly aligned with the existing wireless charger I already have. For me, I need to start replacing my wireless charger anyway to be able to use Apple’s MagSafe to charge up to 15W, while Apple uses Qi chargers to support 5W or 7.5W. Except for charging my phone overnight, Qi charging is no longer fast enough.
what do I like
I like the protection provided in this case, both in terms of the durability of the material when it is dropped, or because the strap can help you hold it, so it won’t fall in the first place.
What will i change
If it doesn’t stick to my pocket and doesn’t attract so much lint, that would be great. It may be too much to ask for a silicone sleeve that does not do these things, but it would be nice to find a slightly better balance.
Final thoughts
Owning a good phone case is a necessity for me. I have been looking for something that can easily hold and protect my phone without causing too much bulk or interfering with the operation of the phone. This phone case meets these needs, looks great, and it feels like it will continue to be used as long as I own my phone. What else can I ask for?
