review – Having lived in New York for over 30 years, I am finally getting tired of the winter months and of course the cold. While I’m temporarily unable to relocate, every year I do what I can to make the most of the warmer months. One of the things I love is relaxing on the deck under my canopy at night. It was great to do this last summer, but when I was entertaining family, I definitely missed the hanging light below the center of the canopy. (No friends because of Covid). I’m sure there are many solutions, but this Haoyishu Dual Control 24-LED Stainless Steel Solar Chandelier seems to be the perfect solution. let’s see! !

Performance
Setting up this light is very easy. I hung it on an existing hook in the center of my canopy and ran the wires through the top of the canopy and down the sides to the deck rail.
Then I attached the base of the solar panel to my deck railing and attached the panel to the base. When attaching the base to the deck, the plastic around one of the screw holes shattered. The base is not solid plastic, so be very careful when installing it.

Not only did this light provide ample lighting under my canopy at night, but the lighting choices were perfect for setting the mood and ambience desired. Since it’s made of stainless steel, it should work just fine outdoors in New York weather.

- Clamp the clip on the lampshade a little more firmly so that while removable it doesn’t easily pop out of the hole
- Make the base of the solar panel attach to a solid plastic surface so it won’t break easily when screwed to the surface.
final thoughts
This is a nice simple light that is easy to install and can be used for a variety of use cases. I like the lighting options and flexibility it offers since the wires between the lights and the solar panels are relatively long. I’ll have to wait to judge its longevity, but I doubt it will last a while. I’m doing fine.
