widthOnce again, Germany’s corona policy was not expected.Since the beginning of the year, she has been focusing on the lack of vaccine management. What will happen if there are no longer enough vaccine buyers, so vaccination fatigue replaced vaccine jealousy: until now she has not wasted too many ideas, despite being not only an expert, but also a fairly talented layman for months To predict that this will be reached at some point. Now it’s happening: last Sunday, the number of vaccines introduced to people was as low as in February.
The debate on this point initially focused on vaccinators who did not show up on the agreed date. However, the bigger problem has long been those who have not even registered for immunization. Other countries, such as the United States, have faster vaccination campaigns than the Federal Republic, but they have learned about this issue for a longer time.
Family doctor is frustrated
It is now very practical to observe that the vaccine has lost its magic. For example, when you go to the doctor’s office in Berlin-Kreuzberg for the second vaccination. In spring, the first date is still very special. People showed up long before the agreed time, waiting patiently in long lines-keeping a safe distance-and finally left the practice field with a happy smile: now it seems that the end of the gloomy permanent blockade is within reach.
Everything is very different this time. Several people who wanted to get vaccinated got lost in the small waiting room, disappeared briefly in the treatment room for routine pricks, and then left the practice room after a while, with a rather boring expression on their faces. No one here wants salvation.
And those are only those who received the second vaccination despite the general listlessness. If you ask the doctor, he has a completely different story to tell. From patients who strongly refused vaccination. They postponed him, they will think about it again, maybe they will return to the vaccination plan at some point. Who did not show up on the agreed date at all. He has also had to throw away the vaccine. And through vaccination, the ratio between high protection and ridiculously low side effects is very favorable. “I don’t argue anymore,” he said frustrated. “It’s not good anyway.”
Scarce things look attractive
Many politicians who have suddenly awakened do not want to bear this defeatism. They are now frantically discussing that vaccination centers and medical practices should attract more various incentive systems. There is no talk of direct coercion, but there are a lot of curls and threats, vaccination bonuses and privileges for immunized people. The Prime Minister of Saarland even wants to offer a lottery-and issue a lottery ticket through a vaccine to open up the chance of winning. In other words, this is a question of weighing costs and benefits, an economic calculation.
