I first discovered indian daughters on Instagram. Some of the people I follow posted their clothes and I started seeing ads every time I opened the app. It worked because I ordered a few dresses to see how the hype was going. I was pleasantly surprised by the fast shipping (takes about a week) and the quality. indian daughters is an ethical fashion brand based in Australia. The brand was founded with a focus on slow fashion, ethical practices and support for local artisans and makers in India.
One thing I find particularly appealing about this brand is that they don’t do collectibles, nor do they offer wholesale. Instead, they release one product at a time after the product is complete. This ensures that artisans are not overworked with unrealistic hours or forced to perform large amounts of labor at once. Daughters of India focuses on making beautiful dresses according to ethical and sustainable practices. In today’s post, I’m going to share a review of my favorite Indian daughter dresses, as well as some other styles that I love.

Indian Daughters Dress Review
Kyra Mini Dress
Kyra Mini Dress (shown in Blue Iris above) is 100% cotton gauze, made in India. The fabric is light, airy, and flowy (perfect for summer). The prints are done by hand, and the skirt is available in a variety of colors. I did not read the washing instructions and washed and dried this garment by mistake. It does shrink slightly, so I recommend a gentle wash cycle without heat or air drying. I found these to be a good size fit, or just a tad bigger. This style is also suitable for pregnancy and breastfeeding!i wear it Below are the biker shorts Because the length becomes shorter after drying, but the color is invisible. Overall, this is probably my favorite style and one that I wear a lot. I will not change it!
Kyra Midi Dress
i get Kyra Midi Dress Available in several colors, really like the style. Similar to the Kyra Mini, it has romantic wavy sleeves and handcrafted block chintz.i have this style Jade (some say this color is a bit see-through), Ocean Blue (shown below), and caramel. You really can’t go wrong, every color is absolutely beautiful. Put this one up or down. I like to pair it with sandals or low heels. Sweaters are really pretty in the fall. It’s a great length and the style is very wearable. It feels like a comfy pajama but honestly I get compliments every time I wear this!
Lopa Long Dress
Lopa Long Dress It is a floral handprint design by Indian artisans. Made from 100% cotton, it’s lined with a distressed silhouette and has a scoop neckline. Effortless and comfortable, long dresses are perfect for maternity wear, you can wear them loose and flowy or tied around the waist. A gorgeous dress for the beach, running errands or a laid-back brunch.
Binita Mini Dress
Binita Midi Dress is next on my wish list. It is 100% cotton and lined. This is a loose wrap dress with balloon sleeves and a deep V neckline. The dress is hand printed by Indian artisans. It is available in xs-xl sizes. My favorite color is violet. Pair it with leather sandals for a chic look.
