I really tried not to laugh at this. Maybe it’s not a good idea to go to Washington to execute a political gimmick to try to prevent the expansion of early voting bills? In addition, everyone from the Democrats in Congress to the Vice President himself keeps in touch with these people in an attempt to escape the political dilemma of this issue. All of these people have probably been in contact with Texas lawmakers who are COVID-positive. We may actually make ourselves one of those super communicator events that the media has been talking about.
Nevertheless, I have seen many Republicans try to dunk these Democrats by pointing out that they did not wear masks on the planes they were flying. This is a bad premise.We have Multiple studies Indicates that the mask does not work. In addition, real-world data clearly shows that they have no significant impact on slowing the spread of COVID.
Even with effective mask regulations, the new cases reported every day in the UK are rapidly approaching new pandemic highs.

I say this to say that dunking is fun, but Republicans should also be aware not to make the wrong argument when doing so. These members were not infected with COVID on that plane (or elsewhere) because they did not wear masks. They were infected with COVID because the Delta variant has a high rate of vaccine breakthroughs. Nevertheless, in these cases, vaccines can prevent serious diseases.
In the end, these people will almost certainly be fine. The bad thing is their arrogance. After a week of sniping, singing and Twitter hot topics about saving democracy, their journey is now obscured by the COVID outbreak, which can be prevented if they just stay at home and finish their work.
