Steve Bannon manipulated the incompetent and empty Donald Trump into the White House to influence our government with anti-democratic ideologies. An August 2021 article in Time magazine summarized Bannon’s seven-month right-wing rule as Trump’s chief strategist. His influence has led to a tough racist and anti-international coalition agenda, which Trump has continued during his presidency.The article said, “His rise is Seen by many people Bringing the fringe voices of white nationalists and alternative right wing directly into the West Wing. “
Bannon does not want American democracy to continue to exist. He hates two parties. He wants the United States to be like other foreign countries run by dictators. His white nationalist agenda fueled the Muslim ban, and his opposition to alliances with democratic allies affected Trump’s weakening of the Trans-Pacific Partnership and the North American Free Trade Agreement. He is a dangerously intelligent man, a racist, driven by money, and is gathering millions of followers to reject American democracy. Quoting from an August article in Time Magazine;
“One of the loudest voices urging Donald Trump supporters to push for the overthrow of the presidential election result is Steve Bannon. “We are on the verge of attack,” former Trump adviser and far-right nationalist Bannon Promise in the popular podcast on January 5. “Everything will be fine tomorrow. The House Special Committee, which hopes to investigate the uprising, plans to subpoena Bannon’s social media and phone records. It sounds like he knows the plan to attack the Capitol to prevent the peaceful transfer of power.
Senator Joe Manchin acted as if protecting democracy was no longer part of his pledge. He uses opposition to gain attention and block legislation that fights to maintain the basic principles of our democracy. He declared that he was unwilling to be the 50th vote for Biden’s agenda because he believed that maintaining bipartisan cooperation was similar to saving democracy. This sentiment sounds patriotic, but it ignores the fact that Trump sent members of Congress to hate and oppose anything related to Democratic politics. Did he not pay attention to Senator Mitch McConnell’s statement in this regard? Republicans are not interested in working with Democrats. They are seeking a one-party government.
An intelligence agent reported in an article on June 7 that “if the Senate does not take action, then we will deepen partisan divisions, coupled with state-level party voting restrictions, which, according to Manchin’s own estimation, will undermine democracy. Somehow, this It is what Manchin said was the result of his choice.” The Virginia senator can actually vote to save American democracy, but he has been trying to please and appease Republicans. His contempt may be more dangerous than Bannon in an elected office without any real power.
Last but not least is the insecure and hypocritical minority leader Kevin McCarthy. He reduced his role as minority party leader to kissing Trump’s ass, welcoming and protecting conspiracy theorists in our government, and obstructing and opposing investigations that seek the truth and maintain the stability of our democracy.
