NAfter the death of 14-year-old Josefine from Aschersleben, Saxony-Anhalt, an arrest warrant was issued against a peer of the same age on the grounds of urgent suspected manslaughter. Magdeburg police and prosecutors announced the news on Thursday.
After the Magdeburg District Court issued an arrest warrant at the request of the prosecutor, the 14 suspects were taken to a youth institution. According to reports, the second 14-year-old boy was released due to lack of suspicion.
On Wednesday, Josefine was found dead in a garage. The investigator assumed a crime. The young man has been missing since last Thursday. That day, she wanted to see her ex-boyfriend hand over personal belongings. It was initially unclear whether the German who was urgently suspected as a suspect was an ex-boyfriend.
On Thursday, hundreds of people expressed their grief over the death of Josephine, who has been missing for many years, at the timber market in Aschersleben, which has nearly 27,000 residents. They lit candles, put down flowers and soft toys. In a framed letter, it read: “You were abandoned by life prematurely.” In another letter: “Best friend forever.”
It was not until late Thursday night that the police found a trace in the search area. The area is sealed off in a large area. A special committee was then established to handle the case.
