The conceit of these people’s treatment of infringement of basic personal freedom is disgusting. Psaki smiled when asked the question, and then happily announced that the federal government intends to compulsorily vaccinate major employers outside the government’s authority (that is, those who do not have a federal contract). How they will do this is anyone’s guess. I want to apply certain rules of the Ministry of Labor to companies with a certain number of employees. Is this legal? It certainly doesn’t look like it should be, but once it enters the court, there is no guarantee.
Now, I think Psaki may have misunderstood this question. Biden’s big plan will not include authorization for private employers who do not have a federal contract, but I can only comment on the content of the recording. The question is clear and accurate, and Psaki’s answer is unambiguous. She said what she said, unless the White House’s position changes, she just confirmed the private sector vaccine regulations.
However, I will say this. If the government does this, they will face the largest civil war in modern American history. I don’t know how this will end. Will some companies simply refuse it? Customers will boycott, will employees go on strike? What is the execution mechanism of all this? This is a grenade thrown into the labor market.
