- jerk seasoning – Lively spice blend.I prefer to do it myself jerk seasoning – which include onion powder, garlic powder, salt, smoked paprika, paprika, black pepper, thyme, parsley, red pepper flakes, cumin, nutmeg, allspice and cinnamon – but you can use store bought as well as. This seasoning works great on chicken too!
- lime juice – Adds a tart, refreshing element, balances sweet and spicy, and helps to tenderize fish in marinades.
- olive oil – Locks in moisture and helps seasonings stick. Avocado oil works too.
- Pineapple Salsa – I use my own Homemade Pineapple Salad, made with pineapple, tomato, avocado, red onion, cilantro, jalapeño, lime juice, salt and pepper.you can use mango sauce even classic Fresh Tomato Salad Instead, if you like.

How to Make Jerk Salmon

- Prepare. Preheat oven. line a bakeware Use aluminum foil or parchment paper. (If you’re using a baking sheet instead, you can skip this lining step.) Pat the salmon dry with paper towels.
- Make the dressing. If you’re not using store-bought seasoning, make Homemade Jerk Seasoning Here.
- Make the jerk marinade. In a small bowl, combine jerk seasoning, lime juice, and olive oil.
Variation: Make Honey Jerk Salmon!
For a sweeter marinade, add 1 tablespoon honey (or unsweetened honey) seasoning mixture.

- Reheat: Bake remaining salmon (without salsa) at 350°F for 10-15 minutes, or briefly in the microwave.
- freeze: Store leftovers in a freezable container or freezer bag and freeze for up to 3 months. Thaw overnight in the refrigerator or in a bag submerged in cold water on the counter before reheating.
