The new Intel 12th Gen CPUs and Z690 motherboards introduce consumers to new, faster DDR5 Gen RAM.
DDR5 is now also used in the latest 12th Gen Intel laptops. Most laptops with DDR5 are expensive and already come with DDR5 running at 4800MT/s. However, Kingston Stay ahead with the launch of their FURY Impact DDR5 SODIMM.
These SODIMMs have the following capacities:
- Singles: 8GB, 16GB, 32GB
- 2-pack: 16GB, 32GB, 64GB
Then they run at 4800MT/s with a latency of CL38.
Pricing and availability have yet to be announced, but I doubt there will be huge demand for DDR5 until more laptops start using them.
