Fox Nation host Lawrence B. Jones caused an uproar at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) on Saturday when he took the stage to discuss the problems that are occurring in predominantly black cities across the country.During his time Speech, He detailed how he traveled across the country to report on the living conditions of too many black Americans, and issued a deep appeal to the conservative movement: to start contact with the black community.
Jones first expressed his respect for the abolitionist Frederick Douglas, and how he appreciated Douglas’ “Speech on Self-made People”. Then he asked: “But if I tell you that there are children in this country today, no matter how hard they work, someone on the street will tell them,’You must join a gang'” and “They are picking up needles on the sidewalk.”
Jones mentioned the popular “self-reliance” mantra on the right, and pointed out that in these cases, “no shoelace can do this.” The reporter explained that he traveled all over the country because of Fox News commentator Sean Han Sean Hannity asked him to “report the city in crisis.”
While pointing out that the left-leaning radical media did not pay attention to these stories, he also pointed out that members of the expert class told him: “They are just free cities.” When it comes to city decay, “let it happen.” Jones said:
I said…I won’t let my people down. Sean Hannity calls it our American family. Since the free media ignored these stories, I went from one city to another to report these stories.
The reporter pointed out that the Democratic Party “completely let down these cities,” but then asserted that the Republican Party should not stand idly by and do nothing. He says:
Now, the Democrats, indeed, they do manage these cities. They completely failed these cities. But since I am a conservative and a liberal, a person who believes in freedom, where are we? So we let this happen in our country? Are we just letting them fail? This is not what we did to American families. No one is left behind in American families. So I reported one story after another, still not receiving attention. Today I came to my conservative family and said that we must do something about it.
Jones later explained that the message of freedom and freedom will have an impact on the black community. He said that he did not believe that free information had a problem, “maybe it was just a messenger problem.”
The reporter pointed out that local politics should be the focus of attention because it affects people’s lives more closely. He discussed how the Republicans ignored cities with large black populations and explained that at the local level “Republicans would not participate in those races.”
The Fox Nation host continued to urge conservatives to stay aligned on these issues and acknowledged that despite the leftists’ call for the cancellation of police funding, “every opinion poll shows that blacks support the police.” Last year, Gallup The results of a public opinion survey showed that 81% of black Americans hope that the level of police activity in their community is the same or higher.
Of course, Jones is right. For decades, the Democrats have ruled black cities and are responsible for the worst-hit areas for black Americans. They managed to keep their place because, as Jones rightly pointed out, they had little competition in most of these places. In fact, the former Lincoln Party abandoned A long time ago, black voters allowed the left to be brutally treated in many black cities.
Although the Democrats have made progress in turning red states into blue states, the Republicans seem to refuse to even consider the idea of expanding their tents in uncharted territory. Now is the time to change this situation. The failure of Republicans to reach black voters will not only cause greater damage to the black community, it will also cause the conservative movement to become weaker.
