Ukrainian forces could capture or surround Lehman within the next 72 hours. On September 30, Russian troops continued to withdraw from positions around Lehman as Ukrainian forces continued to surround Russian forces in the area.[8] Donetsk People’s Republic (DNR) officials and Russian war correspondents say Russian troops still control Lehman, but have moved from Drobyshev (about 6 kilometers northwest of Leman) and Yampil (about 13 kilometers southeast of Lehman) Get out of position.[9] Russian sources say Russian troops still control a road from Leman to Tosk, while Ukrainian troops have cut off the Drobyshev-Torsk road in the Stavky region.[10] Russian sources also pointed to reports of increased activity by Ukrainian reconnaissance and sabotage groups after crossing the Zherebets river on the Svatove-Torske highway northeast of Leman.[11] The geolocated footage also showed Ukrainian artillery attacking retreating Russian troops near Torsk.[12] Some Russian military bloggers claim that Ukrainian troops have crossed the Siverskyi Donets river in Dronivka and are now operating in the forest south of Crimea.[13] Russian sources unanimously noted that Ukrainian artillery continued to block the only remaining exit route for Russian troops on the Kreminna-Tosk road.[14]
