LG unveils new monitor lineup

LG Philippines has launched its new range of monitors and showcased its latest, powerful and technologically advanced monitors at Top Gun– Themed event hosted by Andrei “Dreister” Felix.

Sungjae “Airboss” Kim, managing director of LG Philippines, said the company remains committed to innovating and enhancing its display lineup to meet consumer demand. He added: “We’ve made great strides in enhancing the user experience of our monitors – from adapting to flexible workstations to upgrading our systems with next-generation gaming standards.”

Meanwhile, the country’s most influential gamers, creatives and content creators are a testament to the power, image quality and versatility of LG’s latest monitor lineup.

Actor, TV presenter and #FitGamer, Eric “Eruption” Tai enjoyed immersive racing gameplay during the event, including 32GQ950 OLED display. He said: “The bright whites and deep blacks create an amazing contrast. Whether you’re gaming for hours on end, or just relaxing and binge-watching series and movies, it provides a truly immersive experience. And, It also comes with HDMI 2.1″.

Eric took the stage with business development manager Jane Pactoranan, who further explained that the LG UltraGear 32GQ950 has 4K resolution on a 32-inch Nano IPS display with a fast 144Hz refresh rate (O/C 160Hz) and a fast 1ms refresh rate ( GtG) response time. It also features VESA-certified DisplayHDR 1,000, which means the monitor should offer brighter whites and deeper blacks, as well as a dynamic contrast ratio of up to 1,000 nits of peak brightness.

Likewise, “PBA Ironman” LA Tenorio was impressed with LG’s large display, the 48GQ900 OLED, for its size and impressive image quality. Equipped with award-winning self-emissive pixel OLED technology, the 48GQ900 OLED display features an immersive display and fast response time, ensuring compatibility with next-generation gaming consoles. According to Janille Umali, B2B Marketing Communications Officer, self-illuminating pixels also help maintain very fast response times.

The monitor’s large display is designed to provide an unparalleled better viewing experience. It has built-in anti-glare and low-reflection technology to ensure there are no distractions and you can just focus on your game. Of course, this also helps reduce eye strain during prolonged use.

Like LA himself as one of the mighty basketball point guards in the country, this monitor came fast. It has a 0.1ms response time and 120Hz speed. It can even be overclocked to 138Hz if you really want to push the envelope. This high speed reduces ghosting in games, helps objects render crisply, and makes everything smooth and fluid. With its ultra-slim design, you can mount it on a wall, or display it in your living room, game room, or anywhere else. It also comes with its own remote.

As far as sound goes, it’s no slouch either. It has two built-in 20w speakers. LA can chat with his teammates and gaming friends via the 4-pole headphone output, and you can even use virtual 3D surround sound via the DTS:Headphone X to be even more immersive.

Music and lifestyle photographer “Magic” Liwanag can’t help but approve of the product’s versatility, claiming the LG Dual Up 28MQ780-B is a godsend for a creative like him. “16:18 aspect ratio and free spins [the monitor] Made me multitask in a completely different way,” he added.

Home Entertainment Marketing Communications Officer Greg de Jesus explained, LG’s Ergo series is designed for these types of users because they can work the way they want. You can adjust the monitor by moving it back and forth, swivel, swivel, tilt, and more.

Configure settings any way you want to be more productive and immerse yourself in your work. It also offers DCI-P3 98%** — an elevated color spectrum that brings brilliant color to life without hurting your eyes from the ambient light sensor.

It also comes with AMD Free Sync and Dynamic Action Sync, helping gamers by providing seamless, smooth motion in high-resolution and fast-paced games.
