When she quietly approached Pelosi and continued to promote delusions about what happened in the Capitol on January 6, she had become the best voice-over provider for the Democratic Party. When even the Biden-led FBI found zero evidence of any big conspiracy or coordination between anyone, let alone cooperation with Trump, what are we still investigating? But Cheney seemed content to continue chasing that coveted permanent analyst position on CNN.
Similarly, Cheney’s problem is not just her anti-Trump. Whether you agree or not, there will be anti-Trump and Trump-skeptical Republicans who will win a seat in the House of Representatives in 2022. Instead, Cheney’s problem is that her entire electoral role revolves around anti-Trump and alliances with the Democratic Party. She did this when she was in Wyoming.
This is not the secret of success, it makes me wonder what her winning strategy is. Does she have any more?
