At Oregon State University, they are working to improve the views of teachers.
Therefore, the school Recently held A five-day seminar for educators.
The seminar was hosted by Dr. Tenisha Tevis and Dr. Dwaine Plaza. It was a multi-point exploration.
Its title, every Campus reform: Against systemic whiteness.
As advertised Oregon State University website, The training is based on “the principles promised by the Faculty and Staff Senate in 2020” [the school’s] Black students. “
Therefore, participate in “[allowed] Faculty and staff are involved in white issues and systemic racism in the institution and even in the United States. “
From the sound of things, white is a weed:
Faculty and staff will explore how white Americans create systemic opportunities for some people while naturalizing the rejection of others.
Praise on the web page of the seminar Black people’s fate is also fate move:
This seminar responds to resistance and change movements related to the “Black People’s Fate” movement. The opportunity to produce high-impact results is related to timely delivery. In this case, white people have a higher awareness of systemic racism and respond with a willingness to “do something”.
Dr. Dwaine is passionate about social justice.
From Oregon State University:
[Dwaine’s] The current research focuses on Dry Problem because they apply to disadvantaged groups including people of color and women. Because of his research design skills and passion for social justice and systemic discrimination, he joined the ADVANCE funding team.
As for Tenisha, PhD, University of Michigan Teacher page Convey the following:
She fell in love with statistics and had a better understanding of race-based results. Before pursuing a PhD in education, she worked as a research analyst at a research center focused on crime, crime, and education. …
She shed light on the systemic tensions that students of color, students with disabilities, and first-year students must overcome during the transition and navigation to university. She also clarified the integration of administrative leadership and identity, explored the role of Whiteness in higher education management; jointly developed a revolutionary method for research on leadership education; and jointly conceived an anti-racism higher education leadership framework.
As far as race is concerned, society is in a strange place.
When institutions are fighting against “whites”, they are fighting against “anti-blacks”:
Mental Health Magazine’s article on “Parasite Whiteness” laments “There is no permanent cure”
American universities offer a purely black version of the “anti-triad” compulsory course
More than 160 Minnesota principals plan “decentralized white people”
Eva Longoria’s victory in Latino voters provoked anger against her “anti-negro”
The college symposium destroyed the anti-black racism of “good” grammar
Master of Justice: UT-Austin graduates graduated from the “Anti-Black” school song
Back to OSU, the training aims to enable faculty and staff to do Five things:
- Describe the locality of white supremacy, especially in American society, how to create lasting systemic whiteness
- Recognize how systemic whiteness affects individuals regardless of their intentions or behavior
- It shows that the problem is the social structure of white people, not individuals with white identities
- Recognizing that anti-blacks penetrate into American society and significantly affect the life experience and outcomes of black students, faculty and staff
- Discuss issues of race and racism openly and effectively
In my opinion, the United States has been fighting against itself. We were told that blacks were threatened by whites.we are Separate Divided into white and non-white (also known as “colored people”).
What will be the result?
No matter what they are, I can’t imagine that Solidarity will be in the first place.
