Hello and welcome to this week’s #MMBC. I hope your week is going well. We celebrated my youngest son’s birthday. Thankfully, we got his gift in time, but DPD and Smith almost ruined his birthday. We placed a rather large order with Smyths online as upcoming work and appointments made traveling to the store very time intensive.
First, DPD delivers it to the completely wrong address, then their app updates to “Your package has been shipped”, then “Your package is in our warehouse.” Smyths said they had launched an investigation, but customer service subsequently emailed me saying “we can see your package is on its way” (this is not the case). I then spent another two days with no response from Smyths and no crap from DPD and eventually we went to the store so my little one could get his gift in time!
Smyths finally responded to my email and completed my refund “as they could see I had returned the order” even though it never arrived at our home? !
The service on both sides was astounding. Missing the days when Toys R Us led the toy industry!
Anyway, after all the drama, Joben had a great day, so it’s all over. Yo! The rant is over.
