Are we alone in the universe?
Humans have been arguing about this issue for a long time, and new opinion polls show that more and more people think we may not.
Gallup polls, In the survey conducted from July 6 to 21, the interviewees were closer to their point of view: Some UFOs are alien spacecraft visiting the Earth from other planets or galaxies, or all UFO sightings can be used by human activities or Natural phenomenon to explain.
The most common answer is that they can all be explained by human activities or natural phenomena, and 50% of the respondents chose this answer.
About two-fifths (41%) of people said that some UFOs are alien spacecraft.
This percentage is higher than the poll conducted in August 2019, in which 33% of people said that some UFOs are alien spacecraft.
The percentage of people who believe that all UFOs can be explained by human activities or natural phenomena is also declining. In 2019, it was 60%.
The 2021 poll was conducted among 1,007 American adults, and the results were in error of plus or minus 4 percentage points.
Gallup concluded in the opinion poll: “With the increasing mainstream news coverage of UFOs in recent years and the government’s increasing emphasis on sightings, UFOs may be the idea of an alien spacecraft. It doesn’t seem as far-fetched for Americans as it used to be. Even two years ago.
“At the same time, the government seems to be more focused on determining whether the threat comes from a foreign government rather than another planet, and half of Americans continue to believe that all such sightings have an earth-based explanation.”
Looking further into the 2021 polls, men are more likely than women to believe that UFOs may be alien spacecraft.
Among men, 44% said they thought this might be the case, compared with 38% of women.
In terms of age groups, people 18 to 34 and 35 to 54 are more likely to think that alien spacecraft is possible than people 55 or over.
In these age groups, 45% think it is possible, while among people 55 and older, 37% think it is possible.
Earlier this year, the highly anticipated US intelligence Report on UFOs has been released.
This examined 144 sightings of “Unidentified Aerial Phenomena” (UAP) and found only one explanation.
The report found no evidence that these UAPs were caused by alien organisms. However, it does not rule out this possibility.
The conclusion is: “The limited number of high-quality reports on the UAP phenomenon (UAP) hinders our ability to draw firm conclusions about the nature or intent of UAP.”
