Mother’s Day Gift Guide – Treat Mom’s Tech Gift Guide

Sharing is caring!

Mother’s Day 2022 will be on the 27thth in March. My mom would be lucky if she could get some cheap supermarket flowers from me. But if you’re a little more generous than that and want to buy something a little different than your average flowers and chocolates, this tech gift guide might help.

Withings ScanWatch

I recently Reviewed Withings ScanWatch, it’s a great health-tracking smartwatch with an elegant, classic analog design. It’s not cheap, but health-tracking features like EKGs become more useful as you get older.

Withings ScanWatch comes in a range of elegant designs, and the 38mm models come in beautiful feminine colors, including rose gold with a white face and grey strap or rose gold with a blue face and strap.

man mug 2

i use mine ember cup Every day, I love it. If your mother likes tea or coffee and may be inclined to let it cool, the Ember is the perfect gift. You get about 90 minutes of charging time, and the battery recharges when you put it on the coaster. You can then adjust the temperature through the app, allowing you to get the ideal temperature for whatever you’re drinking.

Metallic colors also look great.

Sous-Vide Cooker

I reviewed Anova Sous-Vide Precision Cookware A few years ago, it has been one of my favorite gadgets for the past few years. As fancy as sous-vide sounds, it’s a pretty simple concept. You cook food in a vacuum bag, which is immersed in a water bath maintained at the desired final temperature. This allows you to cook food for a long time without overheating and drying out.

I will never make roast beef any other way now. Perfect every time and super easy to do.

I ended up buying a cheaper, unsmart Christmas substitute for my mother and she was equally impressed with it.

bluetooth tracker

Everyone loses their keys from time to time, and a Bluetooth tracker is the best solution to that problem. They’re affordable too, you can buy a Tile Pro for £17 or 2022 Tile Companion £20.

Alternatively, there’s the Tile Slim that fits in a purse or purse and the Tile Sticker, a small tracker that sticks to things like remote controls or pet collars.

ignite

While I can understand that some people still prefer real books, I think the Kindle is a must-have tech product for anyone who loves to read. They’re very convenient, and you can usually get Kindle books for much less than physical books. My books live right next to my bed, but they’re also great for travel, giving you unlimited access to books while taking up almost no space.

robot vacuum cleaner

I’m not sure how much my mom would appreciate me getting her an upright vacuum for Mother’s Day, but I think a robot vacuum would work just fine.I recently reviewed a few LiDAR-based vacuum cleaners Ability to precisely map rooms and clean each room without getting stuck or lost. They are much better than older models that bounced randomly.

I think anyone would love a gift that would allow them to do less chores.

Smart Lights and/or Smart Plugs

I’m not sure my mom would immediately thank me for giving her the smart light or plug, but I bet she’ll love them when I set them up. Being able to turn a bedroom light on or off in bed is a luxury I think most people appreciate.

My hallway lights are also connected to motion sensors, so when I get up at night or early in the morning, I don’t hunt around for light switches.

Digital Frame

I’ve never been a huge fan of digital photo frames before. I don’t like bright digital displays looking like laptop screens, it just makes them look cheap and annoying.

However, some brands developed frames that looked more natural, and I’ve since become a convert.

Halo Frame The best frame I’ve ever used. They are not cheap. The most affordable Aura Carver costs around £150. However, the matte display and attractive frame make these look like a regular picture frame.

If you’re feeling more generous, you can use the Netgear Meural collection of frames. I haven’t commented yet, but I did see them at MWC, and I didn’t really know I was looking at a digital photo.

These are larger format frames from 15″ to 27″ and the most affordable is £340.

indoor garden

Indoor hydroponic gardens are my latest fan.At the end of last year, I reviewed Akarina 01 grow light system, I don’t think I’ll like it, but I’m still using it to grow tomatoes. They are great for growing herbs and are great for anyone with a habit of neglecting and killing plants.

Coffee machine

Coffee machine Can be affordable or very expensive, but if your mother loves coffee and she’s drinking instant coffee, a coffee maker would be a huge upgrade.

I personally use a filter coffee maker. Partly because I’m too cheap to afford expensive machines, but also because I’m too lazy to keep going downstairs and brewing coffee when I’m craving coffee in the morning. I set my machine to start automatically in the morning, and this kettle can fill a couple of mugs worth my Ember Mug2.
