Review – I remember being trapped at home without electricity for 14 days during Hurricane Sandy. My only connection with the outside world is the transistor radio. That incident made me believe that despite our technological advancements, simple equipment may be the most important. This is one of the reasons why I am happy to test this Muzen Transistor AM FM radio and portable Bluetooth speaker, even though it does not have a removable/replaceable battery.

The controller and speaker vents are on the front of the radio, and the antenna/charging/auxiliary ports are on the back. The radio is mounted on four small rubber feet.

Since this is a rechargeable radio, the first thing I do is to fully charge it. When the LED turns green, it means it is fully charged.
Next, I turned on the power and turned the input selector to Bluetooth, and then I tested the FM radio and auxiliary input.
For each input selection, the front LED will change color.

The radio was beautifully packaged when it was received in an elegant leather case. It just looks expensive, and its size is very, very small, which sounds great. Its portability is incredible, and its retro look is great, and it’s my favorite. The stylish and elegant fit and finish are second to none.

Final thoughts
The packaging and display of the MUZEN AM/FM radio is very elegant, and it can be said to be a bit delicate. The radio is well made, and the sound is very loud and clear for such a small device. For my use, I hope it can be powered by a rechargeable/removable battery, so that I can prove its price is reasonable through its key role in emergency situations such as hurricanes. However, since it can’t, buying this well-made radio will be a matter of personal preference and taste.
