With summer finally on the horizon beach day Earlier I wanted to update this post with my favorite mineral sunscreen. I’ve tested a lot and these are the most important ones. Mineral sunscreens, also known as physical sunscreens, provide a physical barrier between your skin and the sun’s rays. I also have some great options for toddlers and children. The good news is that these are reef-safe sunscreens!

Bright Eyed 100% Mineral Eye Cream
I love This eye cream And use it every day in summer. I usually put my regular eye cream underneath because I find it tends to turn into fine lines if I don’t.
Super great! Mineral Sheer SPF 30
This is a great everyday sunscreen that blends well together (although I did notice a very subtle white cast when used on its own without makeup). This is my beach SPF and I love it because it doesn’t weigh me down or make me break out.
Sai Sunscreen SPF 35
You know how much I love Saie, especially Sunvisor. It almost feels like sunscreen and skincare. My skin looks so hydrated and glowing when I wear it. I think this is more of my “makeup SPF” than a beach SPF, it can be worn on its own or looks great under makeup. It has a sheer finish.
Supergoop Cloud 9 100% Mineral Balm
I use this all winter and it works great, especially for dry skin. It’s great to wear on cheeks and lips as an extra layer of protection. It glides on easily and rubs quickly.

Super great! Sunnyscreen 100% Mineral Stick SPF 50 Baby Sunscreen
I love face sun sticks because Marin insists on applying it himself, and This one from Supergoop won’t make a mess. It’s super easy to apply, rubs in nicely, and it’s so small and portable that I can carry it in any bag or even my pocket, so I’m never without some kind of SPF on a hot summer day.
Babo Botanicals SPF 30
i use this Babo Plant Spray When Marin was younger, her skin was more sensitive. It does leave a little white cast but is amazing for sensitive toddler skin. It also lasts a long time. I use it even on sunny days and it lasts for hours, even in and out of the kids pool. The spray makes it easy to apply.
Bare Republic Mineral Sunscreen Spray SPF 50
For price and ease of use Bare Republic Mineral Sunscreen Spray Hard to beat. I’ve tried a lot of mineral sunscreens for kids and this is the one I’ve been using. The spray is easy to apply and easy to apply (it is a non-nano mineral sunscreen, so there will be some white smear). I do think we can do these faster, but for a toddler it’s really about the easiest and quickest way to apply sunscreen and this is the trick. It’s fairly waterproof, but I tend to reapply every 2-3 hours just to be on the safe side.

As mentioned, I really love these things and I have been putting it on my lips all winter. Definitely planning to use it for beach days this summer.
Integrity Mineral Sunscreen Lip Gloss SPF 25
A sort of Lip gloss with SPF protection! Great if you have a hard time staying out of the sun at events like weddings or parties, this lip gloss is formulated with moisturizing ingredients like organic shea butter and evening primrose oil. I recently discovered This lightweight mineral sunscreen from Follain This is one of the best I’ve tried. It blends into the skin with almost no white residue and does not feel sticky or greasy. Beautycounter Countersun Mineral Sunscreen
This is easy to apply, non-greasy and leaves no white streaks. It’s also waterproof, I’ve applied it long before swimming and never got burnt while wearing it. I would not use it on my face as it feels a little heavy.i love too their sunscreen mist But I get through it much faster than the tube. This is definitely the fastest and easiest app, but costs more and I have to buy it more often.
