Tennis has always been one of my favorite sports. I’ve been playing since I was a kid, taking summer camps and classes with my friends in the summer. I played the entire school, including singles in high school and a state championship game as a senior. I stopped gaming for a while in my 20s and played very little for the past few years, until recently, and now I’m totally hooked again. It’s a really fun sport and I really believe it’s something you can learn at any point in your life.
Tennis gear has changed a lot since I played tennis regularly and there are so many great options. Having the right tennis gear can help you be more comfortable while playing tennis, and the type of gear and accessories you need depends on your level of play. If you are a beginner, you don’t need to spend a lot of money on gear. You can start with the basics and go from there. Whether you’re a beginner or an avid tennis player, you need something, and today I’m going to share my top 10 must-have tennis gear. Read on to learn more.
top 10 Must have tennis equipment
tennis suit
Outdoor Voices Track Dress
This is my number choice Tennis suit. It’s comfortable and lightweight, with a built-in shorts lining and pockets big enough for tennis balls. The shoulder straps are also adjustable. It fits the size/slightly larger. I reduced the size to xs.
Girlfriend Alpine Lola Dress
I love all of Girlfriend’s sportswear, but Alpine Lola Dress with Floating Lining Very soft and comfortable. It also has a shorts lining. Another great option for playing tennis in the heat!
tennis skirt
girlfriend sports dress
I have got girlfriend’s dress I absolutely loved it last summer. I also wear it to golf. It’s very comfortable and great even if you don’t play sports! The girlfriend runs a little small and I usually go in the right size or plus size.
tennis sneakers
To play indoors and clay courts, I wear ON The Roger Advantage Shoes. Clay courts are softer and more forgiving, so tennis shoes on these surfaces can have thinner and lighter soles.
I like to play on hard surfaces both indoors and outdoors ASICS Gel Dedicate 7. This is an affordable tennis shoe that is a little stiff at first but wears in quickly.
here has Everyone’s favorite tennis socks.
tennis cap
If you are looking for sun protection a lightweight hat is great. You might notice a lot of pros don’t wear sunglasses when they play. Most people wore face coverings or hats. this hat Adjustable, moisture-wicking and lightweight.
Polarized sunglasses
Maybe obvious, but I’m not a professional tennis player. I usually wear sunglasses when I play in the summer because a hat isn’t enough for my eyes in the hot sun.I love so much Smith Cheetah Polarized Sunglasses Because they have a big frame but don’t feel heavy and don’t move around while I’m playing.
tennis clothing
tennis racket
It’s been a few years since I bought a new tennis racket, maybe it’s just the internet, but there seem to be more options. I always like to have two rackets because if you’re in the middle of a game and don’t have a spare racket that breaks, you’re screwed. That said, if you’re a beginner, you don’t need to own two rackets. Here’s what I like to play with:
Babolat Pure Drive
I’ve been playing Head Rackets all of high school and only recently did I use a demo Babolat racket and love it.I tested a bunch of different rackets and pure drive Is my favorite overall feel and control. It is lightweight and ideal for low to medium speed rackets. I have small hands, so my grip size is 4 1/4 (you can always over-grip if your grip feels too small). This is a great racket for intermediate players.
HEAD Ti s5 comfort zone
If you are a beginner, this is a good racket to try. Head TI S5 comfort zone There’s an oversized head at 107 inches, but still great power and control. It’s also a great deal for under $100.It is a light-weight, well-balanced racket, and This is pre-wired!
tennis bag
Craig gave me Bai Baoli strike Folding backpack tennis bag for Christmas, I absolutely love it. It can hold up to 3 tennis rackets, sneakers and tennis balls. You can also fold it up if you don’t carry a racket. The backpack is padded and adjustable.
Craig has Babolat 2021 Pure Aero Tennis Bag It can hold more rackets and has a large compartment for sneakers and tennis balls.
grip
Wilson Pro Overgrip – Comfortable – Absorbs sweat, helps prevent blisters and increases comfort without increasing your grip.
Yonex Supergrap Overgrip – If you want to add some fun color, this overgrip has a bunch of bright shades. It also has thick cushioning to help absorb sweat.
tennis line
If you’re a beginner, you probably don’t need to buy a racket (unless you bought one that wasn’t pre-worn). That said, if you’re stringing a racket, they have options for you. This is something I don’t usually carry with me because I have a spare racket and know that if I need a racket to string, I have a lot of options. If you’re looking for quality and affordable strings, check out Prince Synthetic Gut with Duraflex.
tennis
I like to play Wilson US Open Tennis. They have a great bounce and last the longest. You also get several different options such as High Altitude, Extra Duty (hard surfaces) and Regular Duty (clay/indoor courts). Wilson Triniti Tennis With recyclable packaging, it’s a great option.
