review – If you like flashlights, you must have heard of it oleite flashlight. I even have one in my Julie’s Favorite Gear List. We’ve reviewed a lot of their EDC flashlights, but this is the first desk lamp we’ve reviewed. That’s because the Olight Olamp Nightour LED Desk Lamp is their first of its kind. Let’s take a closer look.

The Olight Olamp Nightour LED Desk Lamp is a small dimmable lamp with a detachable head that can be used as flashlight.

Design and Features
The Olight Olamp Nightour LED Desk Lamp measures 15.61″ / 396.4mm high and is made of anodized black aluminum alloy.
The 3.35″/85mm wide base has a built-in toggle switch to control the Nightour’s ambient lighting modes Do. Watch the video below to see what the ambient lighting mode looks like.

On the back of the base, you’ll find a USB-C port for charging the light’s built-in 4000mAh lithium-ion battery.
There is a shallow suction cup on the bottom of the lamp holder to hold the lamp firmly on a flat smooth surface.
At the top of the lamp is the lamp head that is held in place with magnets.
There is a power button/dimmer button on top of the magnetic stand for controlling the light head. Remember that the stem lighting effect is controlled by a switch on the base.
The lamp head angle can be adjusted up to 90 degrees.
The lamp holder comes with a built-in 100mAh lithium polymer battery. The lamp head has a maximum brightness of 90 lumens and can be dimmed down to a minimum of 1 lumen.

I think the Olight Olamp Nightour LED Desk Lamp has a cool industrial design.
The really cool part is that this light can be used as a reading light, ambient light, or even a flashlight. Check out the video below to see these features in action.

As you can see in the video, the Olight Olamp Nightour LED Desk Lamp can use the ambient light function unplugged, but if you want to use the actual lamp head, you must plug it in. I find this odd because a light head/detachable torch is just that, a torch. On second thought, maybe the Olight did this because the light head has only a 100mAh built-in battery, which can only work for up to 15 minutes at its brightest setting of 90 lumens. Either way, it’s best to choose to use it unplugged.

final thoughts
The Olight Olamp Nightour LED Desk Lamp is a fun little lamp from a well-known flashlight company. I love Nightour’s design and ambient light capabilities. I just wish the lamp head/torch was a bit more functional and the torch had full control when detached from the lamp itself.
