The second-generation Pixel Stand is the best option on the market for the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, with some unique smart home display features. However, due to the high price, it is worth the money.

The setup process for the charger is uncommon. When you mount your phone on the stand for the first time, it automatically recognizes the Pixel stand and registers it with your phone as a Bluetooth connection.

- This includes photo, email, calendar and contact reminder options

The end result is a sort of Google Nest Hub, which may be one of the things that helps justify the price over more affordable options.
It looks like you need to go through this setup process for the phone/stand to enable its fast wireless charging.
Performance and Fan Noise
I have a charger on my desk. I use a slow wired charger while I sleep. So I set the stand to max mode since I don’t care about fan noise.
Within seconds of placing the phone on the dock, the fan kicks in and is relatively loud. As loud as a decent thin laptop, with active cooling. I can hear it through my desktop computer fan noise (almost silent) and I’d say it’s kind of annoying in a quiet room. It’s no louder than the 50W OnePlus Warp Wireless Charger.
While the Pixel will charge at 23w, the higher the charge, the slower it will be. As I write this, my phone is at 82%, but the phone says I have to wait 50 minutes.
Turning off adaptive battery and adaptive charging doesn’t seem to make the phone charge faster.
It takes more than 2 hours to fully charge the phone.
I’ve used the charger for various review samples, including the OPPO Find X3 Pro. All of this works well and charges quickly as expected.
Good value for money compared to competing fast-charging phones
OnePlus has a Warp Charge 50 wireless charger with the same RRP, though you can get it on Amazon for £59.50. It doesn’t come with a USB plug, but the phone comes with one. I prefer the included power adapter, but the end result is the same as the similarly priced Pixel.
The OnePlus charger has a 50W power and can charge from 1% to 100% in just 43 minutes. It also has a dual-coil system that allows you to place your phone horizontally. Just like the Pixel charger, it can run on lower power to keep the fan off for nighttime use. The phone will also learn user behavior to automatically adjust for silent charging.
Overall, it makes the Pixel 6 seem like a good value for money, in my opinion.
Oppo Find X3 Pro can only do 30W wireless charging, OnePlus charger should be able to use this.
The Xiaomi MI 11 series can do 55W charging, but annoyingly, there doesn’t seem to be an official UK stock, so you’ll have to go with one of the many grey import options.
Samsung has had terrible charging speeds for years and may not be willing to push things since the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 exploded, so the Galaxy S21 Ultra is limited to 15w wireless charging.
alternative
If you can only use 15w QI wireless charging, you have a wide range of options and a much lower price.
Anker is always a safe bet and they have the PowerWave II Stand for £30 which also charges the phone in landscape mode. Alternatively, they have disc PowerWave alloy pads for £27.
Belkin and Samsung have options from many other brands that can do 15w for around £30, and many more random brands that can do it for considerably less.

If you want the best charger for your Pixel 6 or 6 Pro, this is it. It’s the only wireless charger that can charge the Pixel 6 series at 23W, and you can use that argument to justify the price.
Features like the Google Nest Hub are a nice addition, but not enough for me to help justify the high asking price.
If, like me, you bought the Pixel directly from Google and got some Play Store credits, the Pixel Stand is well worth it. I bought mine for only ten nats and nothing else in the store appealed to me.
