Schiebel Pacific welcomes the decision of the Commonwealth of Australia to expedite the delivery of its UAS capability by initiating a single source procurement of CAMCOPTER® S-100.
This will allow the RAN to accelerate the acquisition of the capabilities they need and, together with our local partners, work towards the best UAS solution for the Royal Australian Navy (RAN). The provided Maritime Unmanned Aircraft System (MUAS) builds on the capabilities provided by the proven CAMCOPTER® S-100 aircraft currently in service at the RAN and is expected to create approximately 100 new jobs in Australia.
The design, development, manufacture, integration and support of the system will all take place in Australia.
