Bob has been the NEF Chair since 2019 and his absence will be deeply saddened by all of us.
We are heartbroken by the news that our wonderful Chairman, Lord Bob Kerslake, has passed away after a short battle with cancer.
Bob is an incredible leader who is passionate about our agenda and unwavering in his commitment to improving people’s lives. He clearly saw the need to integrate environmental and social justice with the transfer of power to communities, and always encouraged us to pursue this goal without fear. His willingness to support NEF at all times – played a key role in helping us recruit and appoint our staff new chief executive Danny Sriskandarajah – is a sign of his unwavering commitment to our work. He is delighted that Danny has accepted the role and looks forward to working with him.
Last week’s tribute to Bob was a testament to the amazing man he was and the legacy he left behind. We are grateful to have been able to witness his kindness, compassion, integrity and wisdom firsthand.
Bob served as NEF President Since 2019 All of us will feel his absence deeply. But we will continue to build on the example he set and the legacy he left behind. In the coming months, we will pay tribute to him to thank him for all he has done for NEF and to commemorate his long-term impact. But now, our thoughts and condolences are with his family at this difficult time.
If you would like to show your support for Lord Kerslake’s family, please donate to st mungos in his memory. This is Bob’s wish in place of flowers.
