Review – If you are a regular reader of Gadgeteer, it is no secret that I like Nixplay’s photo frames. I have previously reviewed a different Nixplay 10.1 inch photo frame (here) And a 9.7-inch metal photo frame here, The performance of both was admirable, and everyone happily showed more than 1,000 photos. Now I am very happy to review Nixplay’s new W10K photo frame! great!

Nixplay’s 10.1-inch W10K photo frame is a digital picture and video display that is loaded via a smartphone app and controlled by an integrated touch screen.

Finally, statistics show that there are more than 60,000 photos on my personal computer, smartphone and tablet. Having said that, I have a question for you… When was the last time you looked through an album? Are there any albums on your gadgets, scrapbooks, or hardcopy albums?
I guess most people will answer, “It’s been a while.”
For those who answered “recent” or similar questions, I would venture to guess that careful reading of the photos will bring nostalgia or a sense of humor, awaken long-sleeping memories, help you remember your loved ones, or recall good times. To be honest, when we want to recall unpleasant memories, we rarely pull out the camera, so logically, most photos remind us of happy things. For this reason, I like to see old and new photos whenever I glance at the frame, rather than having to sit down and make a large number of hard copy albums or scroll with the mouse for hours to post my photos. Memories from their respective dungeons. This is where Nixplay’s W10K comes in…
Like the previous version, Nixplay’s new smart photo frame arrives with protected comfort.
On the back of the frame, a panel needs to be removed to use the embedded power socket.
The manual is short, but well written.
It takes about 30 seconds to boot up, and Nixplay needs to be connected to a Wi-Fi network. It takes a few minutes to connect and update the software.
There are many languages to choose from.
The new base is adjustable and can be locked into the channel on the frame. It is very stable and is an improvement of the previous model of “gooseneck” bracket.
Adding the framework to my existing account is easy. The convenience of the touch screen should not be underestimated. In less than a minute, I connected to my home network, opened the app, found the photo frame by entering the serial number on the screen, and then it was ready to run.
The application has a wealth of configuration settings.
The application also has the function of remotely controlling the image on the frame.
Same as the previous frame, I created a playlist and uploaded the photos to the 100th frame at once. It takes about 5 minutes for each batch of 100 uploads.
When in vertical or horizontal orientation, the frame will automatically switch between portrait and landscape. If no one is detected in the room, it will also automatically shut down. The sensor delay can be adjusted by the user.
The transition between photos, time intervals, and durations are all customizable.
Like her brother, the 10.1-inch photo frame can accept remotely loaded photos without having to be on the photo frame’s network, facilitating instant photo sharing.
The video is limited to 15 seconds, unless you upgrade to Nixplay’s “Plus” service for $4.99 a month. I found that the free plan is sufficient for my needs.
Unlike other Nixplay photo frames I own, the new 10.1-inch photo frame does not have a remote control. At first, I thought I would miss it, but with the touch screen, it’s no big deal.
The onboard menu is well organized and covers most settings thoughtfully.
The application FAQ help is top-notch!
Nixplay is compatible with Amazon Alexa, but the scope is limited. I have used this function to open and close my frame.
Nixplay also provides services for order printing and enlargement.

Nixplay’s photo frame allows you to easily extract pictures from the dark recesses of your gadget or photo album, and then go back to the day. Nixplay’s newly launched 10.1-inch touch screen photo frame is no exception, and is an important addition to its already impressive product lineup. My photo frames are all displayed conspicuously, and when some photos pop up, they will never fail to evoke smiles, laughter and lively dialogue! I love them!
