The test Cooper is referring to is called the Montreal Cognitive Assessment, which was conducted by Trump at the age of 72 because of concerns about his cognitive abilities. Gupta described the assessment as a screening test for dementia.

Gupta is also an associate professor of neurosurgery at Emory University. He added that some medical professionals have pushed for easier basic cognitive testing at 65. President Biden will turn 79 on Saturday and is the oldest serving president in American history.

However, despite some conservative concerns, Gupta confirmed Dr. O’Connor’s report that the president is healthy and fit for public office.

The six-page report detailed the president’s condition and pointed out that although he is suitable for office, he does have some minor problems, which usually plague people his age.

This includes atrial fibrillation, gastric reflux, and seasonal allergies. The report also pointed out that Biden’s gait was a bit “stiff”, which was mainly caused by multiple orthopedic injuries over the years and a foot fracture in November 2020.

Although there was no cognitive assessment of the president, Dr. O’Connor said that he performed a detailed neurological examination to check for central nervous system diseases, such as Parkinson’s disease or stroke. O’Connor added that the inspection did not reveal any major findings.

The results of the physical examination are usually released by the president during his tenure.

Despite reports, many Republicans Continuing to question Biden’s mental acuity, some people ridiculed him as Joe with dementia.

However, despite these concerns, a University of Michigan study found that only one in seven Americans over the age of 70 suffers from dementia, which is approximately 14% of the population.

According to a recent poll by Politico, 48% of Americans are reportedly worried about Biden’s perception. The poll was released a few days before the president’s public health report.

Trump has also seen similar statistics in terms of psychological stability in 2018.
