As Scott Hounsell of RedState was the first to notice, It seems that Dr. Anthony Fauci lied to Congress When he claimed at a Senate hearing in May 2021 that the United States did not fund the acquisition of functionality research on the Chinese coronavirus. We recorded Through the awards awarded by PREDICT and the Eco-Health Alliance, as well as through Dr. Ralph Baric in UNC-Chapel Hill and Dr. Shi Zhengli in Wuhan.
Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) had the opportunity to question Fauci again on this topic on Tuesday, and even warned him that it is a crime to lie to Congress, and Fauci definitely protested too much. As we introduced before.
Fortunately for all of us, Senator Paul is not one of those legislators who stinks about a problem and then refuses to take steps to actually solve the problem.Senator Paul told Hannity on Tuesday night that he “is seeking criminal referrals because [Fauci] Lie to Congress. “
The first senator Paul explained why, in his opinion, Fauci treated him so harshly at the hearing:
[H]e Realize that once the public realizes that they are doing very, very dangerous research there…carry animal viruses and make them more susceptible to humans.
Once everyone puts these together, he will realize where the responsibility lies. He has at least tangential responsibility. If this comes from a laboratory he funded, my goodness, can you imagine the moral responsibility of this man?
Senator Paul then cited Fauci’s e-mails that were required to be produced through various freedom of information bills, and pointed out that these e-mails showed that Fauci’s assistants warned him, “Oh, no, this is a functional gain study” and a leading Virology researchers told Fauci that he and his three colleagues agreed that SARS-CoV-2 looked like a virus manipulated in a laboratory. However, as we reported in June, Fauci did not panic and wanted to find out the origin of the virus. Instead, he asked the researchers to talk to him and Peter Dazzak of the Eco-Health Alliance. Just a few weeks later, the researchers– Christian Andersen from The Scripps Institute – Helped the leader to draft and publish a paper, claiming that the virus cannot be designed, and it is definitely a natural transfer.
In reminding the audience, Senator Paul adopted “emphasis [that] Federal law makes lying to Congress a felony with a maximum penalty of five years in prison.” Hanni asked Senator Paul whether he believed Fauci violated the law and lied to Congress. Senator Paul replied:
“Yes, I will write to the Department of Justice requesting a criminal referral because he lied to Congress. We have dozens of scientists who will line up to say that the research he funded is functionally acquired.”
Paul said that Fauci should not bear all responsibility for the pandemic, but in his opinion, Fauci lied to Congress and should bear the consequences for this.
Members of Congress are determined to find out the truth and hold those who did the wrong thing to account. This should not be shocking, but it is true. Thankfully, at least one person will stand up against bullying the bureaucracy, rather than shrinking from it.
