Severe heat forces Denver schools to close or suspend classes early

The record high temperature, which hovered above 90 degrees on Thursday and Friday, forced several Denver Public Schools (DPS) to close or suspend classes because the extreme heat created a difficult classroom environment for students and made it difficult for them to learn.

When the classroom temperature soared, DPS staff were forced to decide whether to send the students home or stay at school.

Schools that will close or suspend classes earlier on Friday said high temperatures make it difficult for students to study, especially in buildings No air conditioning, Reported by Fox affiliate KDVR.
