StartUPDATES: New developments in healthcare startups

Callum Health Introducing CarrumComplete™, its new complete surgical care platform, providing employers with the industry’s first one-stop shop for surgical care. The new offering is powered by CarrumLOCAL™, which matches employer groups with the highest quality surgeons from the Carrum Health Centers of Excellence (COE) network, a local option in employer health plans where COEs may be generally unavailable.

Carrum Health’s new platform manages members’ entire surgical care journey, from care coaching to scheduling and coordination, all the way to the entire surgical process — or, if more conservative options are more appropriate, helping them avoid surgery altogether. For employers, this approach eliminates the need for multiple point-of-care solutions, saves up to 45% per procedure, and avoids surgery for additional savings.

“Quality is the most critical element of healthcare and reduces costs for employers. COE programs are a great strategy for employers to reduce high procedural expenditures while improving employee outcomes and experience,” said Drew, national practice leader for Willis Towers Watson Healthcare Services Hodgson said. “Carrum Health’s new platform, built on a rigorous approach to assessing quality of care, addresses the key access challenges employers face when adopting COE solutions.”
