Design and features

SYNCO G2 A2 is a very easy-to-use wireless lavalier microphone system. If you wish to mix audio or use only one transmitter, these two transmitters can be used for stereo audio or placed in mono mode.

The accompanying suitcase is a semi-soft side zippered bag, which is very beautiful. It has spots molded specifically for the transmitter and receiver, and mesh pockets for cables and microphones.

Let’s start by charging the device. The Synco G2 A2 system is equipped with a 3-in-1 charging cable (USB-A to three Type C outputs), allowing you to charge all three devices simultaneously from one USB port. I really like this feature. Synco G2 also has fast charging technology. You can charge them to 50% in 40 minutes and 80% in 1 hour.

Turning on the transmitter and receiver will automatically pair the devices, allowing you to start recording very quickly and easily. Plug in the power source, turn them on, and you can start using them-it can’t be easier than this.

The transmitter has a built-in microphone and a detachable windshield that can be opened and closed. The included lavalier microphone also comes with a foam windshield and lapel clip. The lavalier microphone is plugged into the transmitter through a standard 3.5 mm TRS jack. The transmitter has three buttons: on/off/mute, gain and pairing. The color screen of the transmitter shows the pairing status, channel (A or B), battery level and audio level.

The receiver has a standard 3.5 mm TRS jack for outputting audio to your recording device and a headphone jack for monitoring audio. There is a power/mono/stereo button and a separate button for adjusting the gain level of each channel. The same incredible color screen displays the battery level, the audio level of each channel, and the status of the stereo/mono mode.

The clip on the receiver fits the hot shoe of the camera.

Synco G2 also uses Syncoder encryption transmission algorithm 2.0, which can use Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum (FHSS) technology to automatically switch and allocate the best frequency before conflict occurs.

I connected a receiver and clipped it on my tripod.

The battery life of the transmitter and receiver is 8 hours, and the weight is only 1.38 ounces, which is very light. (38g) The clip on the back can be used to clip the device to clothes or other equipment, or it can be slid into the standard camera hot shoe (flash mount).

  • Real-time monitoring of audio level from receiver and transmitter

  • The receiver’s 1/4″-20 screw mounting will provide additional and safer mounting options

Final thoughts

Overall, I am very satisfied with the SYNCO G2 A2 system. It is easy to operate and provides excellent audio quality. The system can be charged quickly and easily and can be stored well in the accompanying soft case. The controls are easy to use, and the color screen provides easy-to-read status and level indications without any unnecessary information.
