Georgia’s law was later rejected in a higher court. When Georgia enacted the voting rights law, there was a similar corporate backlash. Critics said the law was designed to suppress the turnout of voters of color. In response, Major League Baseball relocated the All-Star Game from the state and companies such as Coca-Cola and Delta Air Lines, condemning the move.
