Republican lawmakers from Texas who participated in a rally in support of Trump held before the attack on the U.S. Capitol on January 6 denied that the incident on that day was a rebellion.
Kyle Biedermann made this claim in a debate on a controversial Republican election bill called SB1 on Thursday.

In response, Biederman said: “People who attended that rally and participated in the January 6th event, do you mean they are all insurgents?”
“The amendment is about the uprising you claimed on January 6, but you were not there. You don’t know what happened.
“All you do is listen to the voice of free media, right? Where do you get your information?”
When Zwiener asked him if he believed “the incident of January 6th was an uprising,” Bidman replied, “Of course not.”
