As a red state Reported in recent days, Multiple revelations about the FBI’s involvement in the conspiracy to kidnap Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer put the bureau on the defensive. After first learning that the FBI played a pivotal role in the birth and planning of the plot, Also exposed An undercover FBI agent who served as the main source of information was prosecuted for beating his wife.
Now, more details show the importance of the FBI in what eventually happened.
According to the Buzzfeed article, the affidavit is retrogressive.
The story of Buzzfeed began with the militia, known as the Wolverine Watchers. Dan, a veteran, joins blindly and is shocked: his new friend is not only interested in interesting guns, but also in the possibility of killing the police. pic.twitter.com/esMJrUWmVJ

Adam Fox, the focal point of the FBI affidavit, also participated in the protest. He still doesn’t know the Wolverine Watcher.
Joe Morrison, one of the WWs, was invited to participate in the militia meeting in Dublin, Ohio. He is not going.

So here is a key question, which does not seem to be answered in either Buzzfeed or the affidavit: *Adam Fox-fantasizing about raising 200 people to capture the Capitol-how do you know who the Wolverine Watchers even contact them? *
Who connected him to Joe Morrison?

The same interesting sausage making: obviously, they wrote the affidavit investigation story retrospectively. If others come out of that meeting as competitors, they will write down the beginning of the investigation with a different protagonist.

There are a lot of activities here. Whether people believe that what the FBI is doing is beyond the boundaries will ultimately be in the eyes of the beholder. If someone is more supportive of the FBI, they will undoubtedly insist that these are standard strategies, and the FBI is not wrong at all, carefully planning criminal activities in order to attract those willing to participate.
For others, whether the FBI should go so far to establish and incite people to commit crimes to catch “terrorists” will be the most important question. This story confirms that the initial meeting was sponsored by an FBI agent, and Adam Fox was a so-called activist who participated in the conspiracy. This is not just about implanting informants when they already exist.
Regardless of whether these are traps, people with no more information can confidently answer this question. The obvious question is whether we want irresponsible government authorities to adopt online speech, even though it may be bad and based on it. Basically set people up. In the final analysis, planners made their own choices, but if there is no chance, will they make these choices?
Personally, considering their past record, I think what the FBI is doing here is going too far. I know that sometimes criminals will be put in a position to show that they are guilty, but if the bureau has to plan and arrange meetings to even make things go smoothly, otherwise it will probably never happen, which shows a kind of assumption too much Degree of participation. In short, the time for abuse is ripe, and the fact that one of the main agents in this case proved to be an untrustworthy wife beating does not change my view on this. Does anyone really believe that person abides by the agreement?
Frankly speaking, even under the guise of preventing “terrorism”, no one believes that the FBI has such a large leeway and power. When the DOJ and FBI leadership continue to promote ideas that seem to be of a clearly political nature, of course not. Finally, there will be many people wondering if a similar strategy was used on January 6. To be honest, in my opinion, these questions make sense. We will see where all this will go.
