The outcome of the Kevin Lunney kidnapping case

The court will try four men accused of assault and wrongful imprisonment of business executive Kevin Lenney on Monday.

On the evening of September 17, 2019, Mr. Lunney, an executive of Quinn Industrial Holdings, was kidnapped near his home in Co Fermanagh.

The businessman had a broken leg and was soaked in bleach. Before he was thrown on the side of the road in Co Cavan, the QIH letter was engraved on his chest.

His attackers demanded that Mr. Lenny resign as a director of the company.

The four defendants tried in the non-jury special criminal court Dublin Everyone denied the allegations of kidnapping and assaulting Mr. Lenny.

They are 68-year-old Luke O’Reilly, 27-year-old Darren Redmond and 40-year-old Alan O’Brien from Kilcogy and Co Cavan. They all have addresses on the east wall of Dublin; the fourth man, 40 years old, is due to law The reason was unable to be named and was called “YZ” in court.

The experiment was conducted for 40 days in summer.

The verdict of the three judges who presided over the case was expected last month, but it was postponed to Monday.
