9 people have been found dead after a parachuting plane crashed outside Orebro Sweden.
“This is a very serious accident,” the Swedish police said on their website. “Everyone on the crashed plane has died.”
The police said the DHC-2 Turbo Beaver was carrying eight skydivers and one pilot. It crashed near the runway of Orebro Airport shortly after takeoff on Thursday and caught fire on impact.
Prime Minister Stefan Lofven wrote on Twitter: “I am very sad and sad to receive the tragic news about the Orebro plane crash.
“At this very difficult time, my heart is with the victims, their families and loved ones.”
In a similar accident, a plane carrying skydivers in northern Sweden crashed shortly after takeoff in 2019, killing 9 people. The crash investigation revealed that the aircraft was improperly loaded.
