One of the most poignant songs of our time is prayera crossover duet recorded by an Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli and Canada’s best selling recording artist Celine Dion. It was written by David Foster, Carol Bayer Sag, Alberto Testa and Tony Reynis and won the Golden Globe for Best Original Song in 1999 and a year later Oscar and Grammy nominations.
The ballad was originally recorded in two solo versions – one in English and the other in Italian – for the movie Quest for Camelot, which appeared on the official soundtrack. However, it was later decided to combine the two songs into a bilingual song, which was released as a single on March 1, 1999.it appears on their respective albums Dream (Bocelli) and This is a special time (Dion).
